​How CLM started:

CLM has been in the making since Rory was a young boy and would go hunting and fishing with his family. He was naturally drawn to the outdoors and working with his hands. When it came to college, he earned a BS in Rangeland Ecology from Texas A&M University. He took what he was learning and applied it to the real world. He gained ranch management experience working across South Texas, operating heavy equipment, and designing and establishing habitat management for property owners. He never dreamed that his adventurous college job would become his career for the last three decades. His diversification has continued to expand to meet the client's needs. He initially started with heavy equipment projects, obtained his real estate license to assist clients in land purchases, and opened a ranch store in Downtown Rotan to fulfill the need for local and high-quality products. When Rory sees a need in the area, he strives to provide a solution and help the community as much as possible.

Real Estate:

While Rory was working on the Ranch after college, he was constantly asked to help evaluate land for clients before they made a land purchase. With his education and experience, he could make proper decisions on whether the land would meet the client's goals. He would evaluate the wildlife, habitat resources, water infrastructure, and soil quality to give the client information to base their purchase on their future goals correctly. After about a dozen land purchases, a client mentioned that Rory should get the commission as the current realtor could not answer all their questions. This inspired him to get his real estate license and better assist his clients. He completed his course in 2004 and has facilitated hundreds of successful real estate transactions; Rory has a proven track record of helping clients buy and sell properties seamlessly. His in-depth knowledge of the local market trends makes him an invaluable asset to our clients. ​​​​​​​​​
